Another Busy Week in Maple Class! 🍁

It has been another busy and exciting week in Maple Class!

In English, we have brought together our learning and skills from across our unit to write our own Mini Rabbit Not Lost stories. The children have worked incredibly hard to write stories that capture Mini Rabbit’s character and have included a little twist at the end! On Friday morning, we spent time publishing our stories, with some children writing more in one sitting than ever before! We are so proud of the perseverance, determination and pride they have shown in their writing.

In Maths, we have been estimating numbers on a number line and then comparing numbers. These lessons have given the children practical skills for tackling questions and problems in Maths, and they have all shown a confident understanding of the methods we have been using.

In History, the children explored the diets of Palaeolithic people as we continue to learn more about what life was like during the Stone Age. They enjoyed thinking about the different foods that would have been available to people at this time.

On Thursday, the children took part in our Harvest Festival service and read out our class poem with great confidence. We were so proud of them!

We finished the week with a PE lesson outside, where we worked on our dodgeball skills. The children worked beautifully in pairs and groups to practise their throwing and catching, while also developing their teamwork skills.

Well done for another fantastic week, Maple Class! You have worked so hard and should be very proud of yourselves.
