Another busy week in Maple Class
This week, the children have been working hard across all areas of their learning.
In English, we have been gathering ideas for our free verse poems, using nature and our senses as inspiration. We have imagined walking through a beautiful bluebell woodland, describing the sights, sounds, smells, tastes and things we might touch along the way. The children have been putting their imaginations to work while developing their writing skills, using interesting adjectives and prepositional phrases to bring their ideas to life.
In Maths, we have been rounding numbers to the nearest 10 and 100. The children have been using a rhyme to help them remember the rules for rounding. See if they can remember it to share with you at home!
In History, we have been investigating how historians learn about Homo sapiens who settled in Britain by studying artefacts. The children recorded their learning in clear and informative tables. Take a look at some of their fantastic work in the pictures below!
We have also been exploring Christian promises in RE, moving like Matilda in PE and developing our sketching skills in Art.
Well done Maple Class, for another busy and productive week! We are very proud of all your hard work. 🌟
