Birch Class Weekly Blog

We have had a great week in Birch Class, despite having lots of tired children!

In English, we have been exploring poetry. The children practised performing poems and were very brave when speaking in front of their classmates. We then worked together to write a poem about the seasons. The children came up with some lovely ideas, including ‘steamy hot chocolate’ in winter and ‘hot sunny days’ in summer.

We also had an exciting visit from gymnast Saffron Severn. The children enjoyed taking part in activities with her and watching her show off her skills.

We finished the week with our Halloween disco! The children enjoyed dressing up, dancing with their friends and eating plenty of sweets.

I hope you all have a lovely half-term holiday. Have a good rest, and we look forward to seeing everyone back soon!
