Class Cedar Computing – The World Wide Web
Class Cedar Computing – The World Wide Web
During our Computing lesson, our Year 4/5 children explored how information is shared via the World Wide Web (WWW).
We learned about the different types of media that can be shared online, including text, images, audio, video and interactive content. The children also discovered that websites are stored on web servers and can be accessed using a web browser or found through a search engine.
The children put their learning into practice by using a search engine to find given times-table games.
We also discussed the importance of sharing information safely and responsibly online, including keeping personal information private and thinking carefully before sharing content.
It was a great opportunity for the children to develop their Computing knowledge while strengthening their understanding of online safety.
