Maple class learning

We've had a busy and exciting week to see out the first half term of this academic year!

In English, we have been practising our editing skills, checking that sentences make sense, punctuation is used correctly and ambitious vocabulary is included. We worked in pairs to edit different texts, spotting mistakes and suggesting ways to improve the writing.

A huge thank you to everyone who sent in cereal boxes! We had a fantastic afternoon decorating the flattened boxes before putting them back together to create our very own houses. The children worked brilliantly as a team, supporting one another and helping to stick the boxes together successfully. The finished houses looked amazing when we put them all together to create a very interesting street!

On Thursday afternoon, we enjoyed an exciting fitness session led by Saffron Severn, a Team England bronze medal-winning gymnast. It was a great opportunity to get moving, have fun and try out some new activities.

Finally, on Friday, we danced the afternoon away at the PTFA Halloween Disco! It was a fantastic way to round off a busy and enjoyable half term.

Well done, Maple Class, for all your hard work this half term. Have a wonderful half-term break, everyone!
